It's 2019, new year new term. The first thing I've done to kick off the year is a vlog! I recently got my feedback and grade for the 42nd Street brief I did and decided to do a vlog, talking about the feedback I got and what I could of done better.

I'm not the best at blogging, well I've never really tried it before. It took me quite a few tries to get it done though, I noticed that I kept losing my train of thought even though I had bullet points in front of me. Never the less after lots of umms and ahhs, I recored it.

Unfortunately the computer I go on in class didn't have Adobe Premier, so I had to move to another one that wouldn't log me in.. then finally another on the other side of the room. When finally getting to editing, my tutor gave us a quick master class, showing us the basics of how to do it.

I noticed that I spent the majority of the vlog not looking at the camera, I did a lot of long pauses and didn't speak clearly. In hindsight I need to improve that in order to get a cleaner looking and smoother video.

Thankfully that's where editing comes in! I managed to cut out all the pauses and umms so it now flows.

The video is a bit jumpy, but thats just the style choice.. right?

When making a new blog in the future our tutor gave us some tips for assets to include:

PTC's (Piece to Camera)

Shots (clips of projects, feedback, research) (screenshots, screen recordings, graphic files, scanned work, photos/videos)

Titles

Graphics (Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects

Videos of presentations

Illustrative shots
