Right at the start of the project I did a couple of sketches in my sketchbook for the Peer Ambassadors branding. It was only 2 but I really liked the idea I came up with.

Fast forward towards the home stretch of the project and I'm now looking into creating my own posters for the Peer Ambassadors that would feature on social media platforms. I first looked online at examples of posters and created a mood board in my sketchbook.

I noticed that all of the posters were very simple yet incredibly impactful. I wanted to try recreate this style, so the next step was to create some quick sketches

I really liked what I came up with so I then went into Illustrator and recreated them.

I was actually really happy with how they came out, but I wanted to develop on them. I tried out a few different colours and fonts. I also tried all 3 of my logos on the posters.
My favourite ones were the door one that was black because I felt like it was really impactful, the lemon one because it is incredibly simple yet brilliant and the keep calm and talk to us that has a yellow crown on top. I was then thinking how I could develop it even further and I also got some peer feedback and they suggested creating it into an actual flyer. I liked this idea but I felt like it was too boring, so I originally thought of printing out the black door one and cutting the white bit out and make it actually see through.
I was thinking of using a sheet of acetate to stick on the back so it's see through, but still structurally sound. While I was looking for a sheet my tutor found a piece of acetate somebody had accidentally printed onto and it looked perfect. I then thought instead of doing that I should just print my favourite ones onto a sheet of acetate itself! I looked everywhere but couldn't find the sheets so I spoke to the library and they sell them for 50p. I printed them off and I was incredibly happy with the results. The way the light passes through the colours is amazing and everything that would be white is now see-through.

Next I wanted to see what my posters would look like on social media. I uploaded them all to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
I think they look like they'd fit online, the only problem I had with them was that the images were to big. I was going to fix this but due to time constraints and I thought it already shows the point that I'm trying to get across. Like I said though, I'm really happy with how they turned out and I also added the #SpeakToUs Hashtag that I feel like they could use to spread awareness online.
In conclusion I have really enjoyed the branding side of things. I love creating posters and ever since learning how to use illustrator it has given me a completely new side of things to bring to the table. I am looking forward to doing more of this kind of thing in the future.
