One on my first tasks starting college was to go around Manchester and find several of the bee sculptures. I have chosen a couple to that really stood out to me as I feel they capture the heart and soul of Manchester.

Outside the Museum of Science and Industry sits the music bee. It has a somewhat biased meaning to me as some of the the artists that have signed it (Rolling Stones and The Foo Fighters) as I attended those concerts. Although Manchester is known for its music and culture, in my opinion it perfectly incapsulates Manchesters music background as a whole with the graffiti esq people splattered around it.

Another one of my favourites is the Industrial bee. Manchester as a whole is well known for its revolution in the industry back in the day. I feel like this bee perfectly encapsulates that while also adding a quirky steam punk look.
